HOW THIS STARTED

Doug Blanco started Blanco Concrete LLC in 2017 after years of working for other concrete contractors in the Sanford area. The pattern he kept seeing: quotes that grew after signing, permits skipped to save time, job sites left in a state, and homeowners who didn't know what they'd agreed to until the final invoice showed up.

He started his own company specifically to work differently. Fixed quotes. Permits handled. Sites left cleaner than found. Those aren't marketing bullet points — they're the reason the company exists.

NINE YEARS IN THE SANDHILLS

Doug grew up knowing this geography. He can tell you the difference between the clay-heavy soil in west Sanford and the sandy Sandhills conditions around Pinehurst without looking it up. He knows which Lee County subdivisions have tricky access for equipment, which Pinehurst HOA committees want stamped drawings, and which neighborhoods have utility lines closer to the surface than you'd expect.

THE TEAM

Blanco Concrete is a four-person operation. Doug is on-site for every estimate and every pour. The crew has worked together for several years — there's no rotation of day-laborers on a Blanco job. You get the same people who walked your property at the estimate actually doing the work.
