Concrete Removal & Replacement

Rip it out. Pour it right.

Sometimes a repair isn't worth doing. If your driveway has heaved, cracked through the full thickness, or sunk in sections, you're better off removing it and starting fresh. We handle the full sequence: demolition, haul-off, sub-base repair, and new pour — all under one quote.

Concrete Removal & Replacement

When to Replace Instead of Repair

Surface cracks under 1/4" wide can often be sealed. But if cracks go all the way through, slabs have shifted more than 1/2", or the surface is scaling off in chunks, you're patching over a structural problem. We give you our honest read at the estimate — sometimes a repair is the right call, and we'll say so.

When to Replace Instead of Repair

The Demolition Process

We use a combination of jackhammering and skid-steer work depending on slab size and access. All broken concrete is loaded and hauled off-site — we don't pile it in your yard. We protect adjacent landscaping, fences, and structures during demo.

The Demolition Process

Neighbor Protection During Demo

Demolition creates vibration. We walk the perimeter before we start, document existing conditions, and flag any structures that need protection. If something gets damaged, we cover it. We also handle the conversation with the neighbor directly — you shouldn't have to mediate a contractor dispute.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much does concrete removal cost in Sanford NC?

Demolition and haul-off for a standard 2-car driveway typically runs $800–$1,800 depending on thickness, access, and volume. This is included in our full replacement quotes.

How do you protect the rest of my yard during demo?

We establish a work zone, protect adjacent planting beds, and use equipment that minimizes turf damage. If something gets torn up, we repair it as part of the job.

Will the new driveway match my garage apron?

We plan the tie-in before demo starts. See our driveways page for more on seamless tie-in.
